Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr JCW is currently working on behalf of a growing credit risk advisory and seeking a Credit Risk/Loan Review Director specific to community banking. As Director of Credit Risk, you will play a key role in leading client engagements across credit risk, loan review, and portfolio advisory. This is a highly visible position, working closely with bank leadership, regulators, and internal stakeholders to safeguard asset quality and enhance credit governance. Key Responsibilities Lead credit risk consulting projects with client institutions, ensuring quality, insight, and regulatory alignment. Oversee commercial loan review programs, providing independent analysis of credit quality, risk ratings, and underwriting standards. Advise clients on loss reserve adequacy and CECL implementation. Develop and maintain credit risk frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices. Provide thought leadership and mentor junior consultants in risk assessment and portfolio management. Act as a subject matter expert with regulators, auditors, and executive stakeholders. What We’re Looking For 7+ years’ experience in commercial banking with a strong background in credit risk, loan review, and loss reserves. Demonstrated expertise in analyzing complex commercial lending portfolios (C&I, CRE, middle-market, syndicated loans). Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations (OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve) and risk management best practices. Proven ability to lead engagements, present findings to executives, and influence decision-making.
