OverviewLanguage Expert - German (Bangkok-based) at AgodaWe are looking for a German Linguist and Localization Expert to join our team and help improve localization of multiple Agoda products. Join our international team in a beautiful central Bangkok location and work in a fun and fast-paced environment!ResponsibilitiesMaintain quality of product translation/localizationTranslate English content (site updates, hotel content, press releases, travel articles, promotional emails and newsletters)Recruit, manage and supervise freelance translatorEnsure freelance translations meet required deadlines and quality standardsProvide localization insights and add a linguistic perspective to developmentConduct product reviews for inconsistencies and localization issuesAnalyze language-specific data to support machine translation model selection and improvementSupport marketing activities to increase visibility of Agoda and website traffic within the target marketResearch and identify local partnership opportunitiesAssist with interdepartmental requestsQualificationsNative German speaker with excellent writing skillsUniversity or College DegreeTranslation experience, preferably using a CAT toolGood English proficiency and strong internet research skillsStrong organizational and time management abilities; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience in the travel industry is a plusEqual Opportunity EmployerAt Agoda, we pride ourselves on being a company represented by people of all different backgrounds and orientations.
