Job Description

Senior Marketing Manager, Extended Reality, Platforms and Devices As part of the Product Marketing team for Extended Reality (XR) at Google, you’ll join a team of marketers responsible for driving product-market fit for Android XR, Google’s operating system for virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality products including XR headsets and Artificial Intelligence (AI) glasses. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of product marketing activity for glasses with Android XR. From determining positioning and naming to leading engaging analyses, feature prioritization and external communications, you’ll help shape the Android XR platform, and help it grow a consumer base alongside eyewear partners. This means you’ll work with a cross-functional team across Product Management, User Experience (UX) Design, Engineering, PR, Legal, and more to drive product marketing strategy from beginning to end. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google/'s products solve the world/'s problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself. Responsibilities Drive target audience definition, value proposition, narrative development, and marketing activations across audiences to achieve awareness and adoption goals. Shape product roadmaps through market and customer research, engaging analyses, audience segmentation and sizing across multiple product areas. Plan, coordinate, and execute product launch and go-to-market strategies, including goals, channel plans, messaging, asset development and integrated launch planning with cross functional partners. Understand the XR ecosystem and eyewear industry for users and represent the market within the organization. Partner with cross-functional teams and external partners on marketing strategies and programs to drive awareness, adoption and long term engagement with Android XR devices. Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 9 years of experience in product marketing, including planning, crafting positioning/messaging, and developing assets across modern marketing channels. Experience with customer research and using data and insights to inform product and go-to-market strategy. Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects within a fast changing environment across functions (e.g., product, UX design, public relations, partnerships). Preferred qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience or domain knowledge in the extended reality (XR) industry, working on devices, apps, games, or experiences with virtual, augmented, or mixed reality components. Experience or domain knowledge in marketing Artificial Intelligence features and consumer products. Experience collaborating with cross functional teams across geographies. Ability to think about issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans that can then be worked on with product management to deliver relevant consumer products. Excellent teamwork skills and written and verbal communication skills. About the job Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
