Our data informs real-time trading decisions and mid-to-long-term investment decisions that keep utility prices low, support the energy transition, and keep the grid running.Be a part of our successful, growing business during international transformation.Position SummaryThe Sales Director is responsible for setting the sales strategy, managing a team of Account Executives, and developing relationships with strategic clients across ISO/RTO regions. We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Sales Director to lead and scale our Account Executive team, with a focus on acquiring new logos. This role is critical to our verticalized go-to-market strategy and revenue acceleration.Salary range: Base $150,000-$170,000 + commission. Potential OTE: $260,000Location: Boulder, COFull-timeHybrid - 2 days in the Boulder officeReporting to: Vice President, SalesPrimary ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and grow a team of Account Executives to meet revenue growth goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Set team and individual sales targets, track KPIs, and report on sales performance.Drive sales pipeline growth through direct outreach, inbound leads, and strategic partnerships.Develop strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders. Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Business Development to refine go-to-market strategies.Lead contract negotiations, enterprise solution presentations, and RFP responses.Perform weekly pipeline reviews and one-on-one meetings with each sales rep.Provide weekly forecast and pipeline review to the VP of Sales.Support sales reps through daily/weekly calls and meetings as needed.Ensure the sales team meets profit and market share growth goals.Provide leadership to the sales organization and align objectives with Yes Energy’s values and business goals.Help design, implement, and manage sales strategy and processes. Maintain high quality, integrity, and process consistency in the sales organization.Coordinate planning, forecasting, and budgeting with other groups and company planning processes.Assign vertical markets, product/use-case alignments, and sales goals to ensure customer retention and growth.Partner with marketing, product, and sales to identify opportunities for process improvement.Facilitate successful implementation of new programs with a defined, efficient sales process for launches; promote continuous process improvement.Collaborate with leadership on sales technology strategy and recommend changes to the technology stack when needed.Ensure sales reports and BI are provided to stakeholders; develop reporting tools as needed.With People Operations, support a sales training plan to develop critical sales competencies.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, or related field.Seven years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including three years in a sales leadership role.Two years leading a team using MEDDPICC and Value-Based Selling methodologies.Deep understanding of North American electricity markets (e.g., PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, MISO).Proven track record of hitting or exceeding multi-million-dollar sales targets.Excellent communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.Skills & AbilitiesExperience building or supporting a go-to-market strategy and corporate sales plan.Experience selling SaaS products into NA Power Market Participant companies.Track record selling opportunities with annual value over $200k to C-Level executives.Experience monitoring and evaluating sales reps’ progress and aligning behavior with performance expectations.Managed a team of 6+ salespeople.Capable of managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities.Familiar with Salesforce for managing tasks, pipeline, and closing data.Experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives.Ability to build and manage a territory structure by geography, vertical, or use case.Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback.Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Salesforce is preferred.Experience selling SaaS, analytics, or data services to power market participants.Existing network in energy trading, renewables, or utility sectors.Master’s degree or MBA.About Yes EnergyOverview: Yes Energy delivers real-time market data and electric power trading decision solutions.
