OverviewSeeking an experienced Superintendent in the DC Metro Area to work on large public and commercial projects. The client has a backlog of over 100m+ in work over the next few years. They offer flexibility and growth opportunities from within.Our client is a well-established commercial construction company based in Virginia, with over 20 years of experience in building commercial properties, including municipality, government, and industrial buildings. They focus on delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget, with a strong emphasis on safety.Base pay range$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day operations on the construction site and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Coordinate and manage subcontractors, tradespeople, and construction workers; resolve conflicts and address issues among team members and subcontractors.Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.Monitor construction work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards; inspect materials and workmanship regularly.Develop and manage construction schedules, including sequencing of tasks and resources; update project timelines and adjust schedules as necessary.Monitor project expenditures and manage costs to stay within budget; approve and track change orders and additional work requests.Serve as the primary point of contact between the general contractor and clients, architects, and engineers; provide regular updates on project progress and address concerns.Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and issues; prepare and submit reports on project status, delays, and other relevant information.Address and resolve issues or obstacles that arise during construction; make decisions to keep the project on track and mitigate risks.Coordinate with inspectors and ensure all necessary inspections are completed; oversee the final inspection and project closeout process.Ensure the availability of necessary materials, equipment, and tools; manage logistics for delivery and storage of materials.QualificationsProven experience managing diverse commercial projects, including base buildings valued at $10M+Degree in Construction Management or related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP)Technical proficiency in Procore and NewForma, with strong project management and scheduling abilitiesStrong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage project teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure safety complianceClient-focused with a commitment to client satisfaction, integrating feedback, and maintaining strong client relationshipsExcellent problem-solving and adaptability; proactive in addressing issues and flexible in adapting to project changesCultural fit with company values and community engagement, reflecting dedication to local impact and long-term growthAPPLY TODAY FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATIONJob Offer: Competitive salary based on experienceEquality and inclusion: We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or status in any protected group.
