Engineering Manager

Overview Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) enables businesses to deliver the right experience at the right time to their customers. The Segmentation Service provides the ability to define customer segments and generate target audiences based on real-time customer profiles. This role focuses on the proprietary high-throughput query engine powering batch and real-time segmentation services for Adobe applications like RTCDP and AJO. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and expand a diverse engineering team of software engineers to build and enhance batch and real-time segmentation services. Create and instill a team culture that emphasizes sound scientific processes and deep engagement with customers. Foster an engineering culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high-quality, predictable, and reliable products. Establish strong partnerships with cross-functional teams including product management and design to drive product vision, roadmap, and business strategy. Manage project scope and risks using data, analytics, and creative problem solving. Follow Agile methodologies and use industry-leading CI/CD pipelines. Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution, and delivery. What You Need To Succeed B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is required. M.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience is preferred. Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams and fostering an innovative and collaborative environment. Experience as a manager of managers is preferred. Track record of delivering cloud-scale, data-driven products and services that are widely adopted with large customer bases. Practical experience at scale in distributed systems or databases is required. Knowledge of Data Lakes, Kafka or Spark is preferred. A relentless pursuit of great customer experiences and continuous product improvement. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and customers. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to persuade and empower others. Pay within this range varies by work location and may depend on knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Note: In addition, some roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award. For non-sales roles, compensation is expressed as base salary and short-term incentives; for sales roles, compensation is expressed as total target compensation (base + commission) with potential incentives.
