Join us and be part of a team that is shaping the future of digital infrastructure while nurturing your professional growth and work Reliability Engineer RoleThe Network Reliability Engineer reports to the Manager of Network Reliability and is a member of CoreSite/'s Network Engineering team. The primary function of the role is to advance automation, scale, and next-generation initiatives within the company, with a focus on SDN, Cloud, and virtualization. The position emphasizes product improvements and automation. Candidates should have experience in at least one programming language and be prepared to demonstrate this experience during the interview process. A computer science degree is not required, but candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts.You will be part of a world-class engineering team creating new ways for enterprises to consume growing cloud services and eliminating repetitive tasks.ResponsibilitiesTrain, mentor, and help develop the skills of Network Reliability Engineers.Be responsible for the quality of the customer experience in production and in the ideation, design, and development of next-generation systems.Partner with Engineering teams to measure, deliver, and improve both the engineering and customer experience.Improve observability via implementation of enhanced monitoring, metrics, logging, and system analytics.Build software and systems to manage services and applications through automation.Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network components, inventory, and related documentation and technical specifications information.Produce network topology diagrams for existing and new infrastructures for sales, customers, marketing, and other internal needs.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTrack record of building and running high-performance teams.Fundamental understanding of common API concepts and standards, data storage, service status, and session handling.Fluent in at least one programming language, with willingness to perform live coding exercises during the interview process.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Familiarity with workloads within cloud-based ecosystems and at least one leading public cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).Excels in a team-oriented environment with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Demonstrates a strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines.Education/Experience6+ years/' experience as a Network Engineer in a service provider network environment with high-end routing/switching infrastructure.Experience in Cloud interconnection.Preferred experience in ISP and/or telecommunications companies.Preferred experience with cloud computing architectures (IaaS, SaaS, etc.).Preferred CCNP certification or equivalent work experience.Four-year college/trade education preferred or equivalent work experience.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
