Part of the Robotics and Digital Solutions (RAD) group, contributing to platforms such as Flexible Robotics (MONARCH), Surgical Robotics (OTTAVA), and Digital Solutions. The Hardware Team seeks engineers who will architect, develop, and prototype the next generation of robotic platforms to improve patient outcomes.ResponsibilitiesArchitect, integrate and test an embedded Acoustic and Video system using off-the-shelf and semi-custom components.Architect, develop, design, and test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) of varying complexity.Own full lifecycle designs of PCBAs including design, technical reviews, prototyping, detailed test, and release documentation.Collaborate with multi-functional teammates to develop robust architectures with electrical functionality driven by simulation, analysis, and testing.Deliver documentation such as technical reviews, test results, and theory of operations.Perform component, board, and subsystem level testing to ensure conformance to requirements, including EMI and ESD analysis, test fixture development, and thermal analysis for projects.Participate in design reviews and xFMEA analyses across the broader team.QualificationsRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience:Bachelor’s in Engineering (or related field) with 4+ years, or Advanced Degree with 2+ years of industry experience.Demonstrated proficiency in Altium Designer or related eCAD tool for PCB schematics.Expertise in designing and validating digital electrical systems from feasibility through production.Experience working in multi-functional teams at board and system architecture levels.Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience:Experience designing electronics in Medical or similar regulated industry.Understanding of embedded buses and industrial networks (PCIe, Ethernet, EtherCat, CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.).Experience with Linux and real-time operating systems and middleware (e.g., Ubuntu, QNX).Design for electromagnetic compatibility and immunity, including ESD and electrical fast transient considerations.Experience in A/V I/O cards, amplifiers and isolation.Understanding of AV machine learning algorithms and encoding/pensation and BenefitsThe Company maintains competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
