We offer a positive work life balance with the opportunity to work on challenging and unique engineering projects involving flood control (levees, dams), civil and transportation infrastructure (roads, bridges, tunnels), campus facilities (laboratory buildings, academic buildings, athletic facilities), mid to high-rise buildings, and geologic hazard mitigation (ground improvement, slope stabilization).At Certerra A3GEO, you can look forward to working on a wide variety of interesting projects in an environment where technical excellence and the ability to satisfy clients is both celebrated and rewarded.DutiesConduct onsite construction observation and testing services including nuclear gauge field density testing, concrete sampling, earthwork operations, and foundation installations.Work outdoors in all weather conditions.Review and interpret construction plans and specifications.Perform laboratory testing.Plan, schedule, conduct geotechnical field investigations.Prepare boring logs.Work directly with and manage sub-consultants.Work responsibly, safely and in a manner that reflects well upon the firm.Education/QualificationsU.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline (geology, construction management, etc.).Strong problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication.Valid CA driver’s license and good driving record.Certifications/LicensesDriver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle recordWorking towards obtaining professional licenseActual compensation will be set based on your knowledge and experience coupled with your ability to provide satisfactory documentation demonstrating requisite skills in writing, engineering, and interpersonal communications.
