Process Scientist - Global Manufacturing Science GMSci DP/PKG Location: Cambridge, MA (and Boston, MA as referenced) About the role: As a Process Scientist - Global Manufacturing Science GMSci DP/PKG, you will provide technical expertise within the GMSci DP/PKG organizations relating to manufacturing technology and sciences for drug product manufacturing. You will serve as the SME for leading major technical transfer or validation projects related to new product introduction or life cycle management of existing products. You will also provide leadership for regulatory interactions including CMC content for dossiers. You will ensure process knowledge is shared and leveraged across sites and functions. You will serve as Takeda’s global DP SME for issue resolution as needed. How Will You Contribute Lead activities with Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Operation Units: Drug Product Manufacturing Process Characterization; Technology Transfer to both CMOs or internal manufacturing facilities; Drug Product manufacturing and packaging process validation; Serve as the experts for deployment as rapid response teams to local manufacturing Operating Units; Manage projects within Takeda product portfolio, both development and commercial, to support Manufacturing Sciences DP and Packaging Science activities; Provide input for strategies for continuous improvement of manufacturing for marketed products in late phase lifecycle; contribute to manufacturing strategy for key Takeda products at internal network and CMOs; Collaborate with other functions within GMS, Manufacturing Operating Unit Site leads, Local Technical Services, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and other key groups such as Global Quality and Regulatory CMC; Act as SME for Takeda drug product manufacturing organization and network; Demonstrate understanding of solid oral dosage form and injectable product manufacturing technologies; stay current with industry best practices and innovative technologies; Influence decision-making across organizations to drive alignment and resolve cross-functional issues; Communicate and implement innovative and emerging technology for drug product within the Manufacturing Sciences organization; Engage with development product implementation prior to commercialization to ensure successful product launch; Partner with Local Technical Services to ensure consistent application of best technology practices across the Takeda network; Share process knowledge across sites and functions for effective product management. What You Bring To Takeda BS or graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with 15+ years of industrial experience or equivalent; Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing; Previous experience as a SME lead in a matrix environment relating to drug product manufacturing; Ability to focus on priorities and deliver superior results; Ability to elevate capabilities for now and the future, and proficiency in dealing with ambiguity; Comfort with complexity and change, and ability to influence across organizations; Excellent communication skills to influence Pharmaceutical Sciences development and other units. Compensation and Benefits Summary Location: Boston, MA (U.S. base salary range is $153,600.00 - $241,340.00). The actual offer depends on qualifications, experience, and location.
