OverviewThe Field HEOR Scientist, Northeast (Director level) is a field-based role within the US Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) organization. The Field HEOR Scientist engages Access organizations and decision-makers within their assigned territory by combining HEOR expertise with knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system to deliver and generate data that supports medication access decision-making. Territories include NY, MA, PA, NJ, CT, RI, NH, VT, and ME.ResponsibilitiesThe role has two main responsibilities: conducting health economics and outcomes research as part of a cross-functional matrix team in an internal-facing role, and leading the medical interface with key access customers in a field-facing role.Collaborate on the development and implementation of the US HEOR strategy, plans, and research.Work with home office medical teams to develop, interpret, and disseminate data assessing the medical value of BMS assets; execute all phases of the research process.Direct research strategy to answer key questions in the healthcare marketplace, guided by direct payer insights, in accordance with Company policies and in collaboration with the home office medical matrix team.Lead Health Economics and Outcomes Research for specified therapeutic areas.Focus field-facing activities on regional managed care accounts and key integrated delivery networks to facilitate patient access, medical policy, coverage, and reimbursement for BMS portfolio assets.Develop sustainable customer relationships and discuss comprehensive scientific, health economics, epidemiology, and quality of life information.Collaborate with commercial Account Executives, MSLs, and home office medical matrix teams.As a Director, lead specific projects or initiatives that impact the broader field HEOR, Home Office HEOR, or cross-functional matrix teams.QualificationsDoctoral trained professional (PhD, PharmD, MD) with emphasis in health services research, health economics research, public health, health services, or related field. A Masters degree with relevant focus may be considered.Minimum five years of experience in pharmaceutical, managed care, or consulting with primary focus on Market Access and conducting HEOR in all research stages.Demonstrated expertise in health economics and outcomes research; publication list encouraged.Ability to understand and interpret the US healthcare marketplace and comparative effectiveness research; strong problem-solving and communication skills.Proven ability to build customer relationships; willingness to travel.Ability to drive a company-provided vehicle; ethical and safe driving pensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this role is US $211,880 – $256,748. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. Final compensation is based on experience and location. Benefits vary by location and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation, volunteer time, and other programs.
