Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yrOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Archivist to manage and preserve both physical and digital collections, ensuring accessibility and long-term preservation. This role combines hands-on archival work with supervisory responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, preserve, organize, and describe archival materials, including both physical and digital records.Develop and implement archival policies, procedures and forms.Rehouse collections, apply basic preservation techniques, and optimize storage and retrieval systems for print, photographic, and media materials.Provide reference services, assist with research requests, and act as a resource for internal teams.Supervise and mentor staff, interns, and volunteers; collaborate with other departments and external organizations as needed.QualificationsMaster's in Archival Studies, Library/Information Science, History, or related field.3+ years of archival management experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Certification as an Archivist or relevant archival credentials.Experience with EAD, DACS, and tools such as ArchivesSpace, Archivists' Tookskit, or Preservica.Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.Active practicing member of the Roman Catholic faith with deep understanding of Catholic teachings and traditions.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAdministrative, Research, and EducationIndustries: Religious Institutions, Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos, and EducationWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
