This attorney can work from the San Francisco office, or remotely elsewhere in California.This position offers a flexible, hybrid or remote working arrangement.The PositionThis attorney will represent sophisticated clients confronted with complex legal challenges to defend a set of talc, silicosis, asbestos, and other toxic tort matters.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documentsAttend court hearings, depositions, and mediationsCollaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environmentIndependently manage a litigation caseload as part of a team, working cases from beginning to endCommunicate with clients and provide status reportsQualificationsJD from an ABA accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in the state of California8+ years of toxic tort litigation experience preferredAsbestos, talc, silicosis, diacetyl, benzene, or related toxic tort experience preferredExperience drafting discovery and pretrial motions requiredExperience cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses preferredExperience handling court appearances, depositions, and trial experience a plusSuperior analytical skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsSalary Range: $175,000 - $230,000 USDCompensation and BenefitsA variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
