OverviewDigital Lab Transformation - Senior Consultant - Life Sciences (LIMS)Location: Multiple US locations (Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Hartford, Hoboken, Houston, McLean, New York, Philadelphia, Stamford). Base pay range: $93,600.00/yr - $154,500.00/yr. EY is seeking a Senior Consultant in Governance, Risk, and Compliance within the Life Sciences team to support lab transformation strategies and lab systems implementations (including LIMS, ELN, LES) for clients in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and related fields.Role involves delivering one or more processes, solutions, and/or projects with emphasis on quality and risk management, driving continuous improvement, and guiding teams on technical solutions for Digital Lab Transformations as part of EY’s Life Sciences Risk Consulting practice.Note: This description consolidates content from multiple sections of a broader job posting. The core responsibilities, qualifications, and benefits shown reflect the Senior Consultant role in Digital Lab Transformation for Life Sciences.ResponsibilitiesManage and deliver processes, solutions, and/or projects with a focus on quality and effective risk management.Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research and analysis.Guide others using depth of expertise; interpret internal/external issues to recommend quality solutions.Meet performance objectives and metrics; travel up to 70% as needed by external clients.Design operating models for digital labs and deliver data strategies to enable agile processes within client operating models.Formulate technical solution designs and lead conversations with Life Sciences clients; architect transformative solutions with process owners.Lead delivery in technical areas related to the Digital Lab Transformation solution.Develop solutions to complex problems; exercise judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria.Manage engagement economics and resource planning; oversee program management activities for Digital Lab Transformations.Provide strategic expertise on business cases and transformation strategies; help determine financial plans and budgeting to optimize costs with Digital Labs.Lead a diverse team; coach, mentor, and develop team members.Translate complex requirements into actionable insights for C-suite and Director-level stakeholders.Serve as a technical authority on LIMS architecture and champion change within client organizations.Orchestrate execution of Digital Lab Transformation projects with adherence to technical specs, deadlines, and quality benchmarks.Maintain expert knowledge of industry trends to inform solution architecture in the digital labs space.Collaborate in teams to deliver high-quality client services and maintain long-term client relationships.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Biomedical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.3+ years of Life Sciences experience, including familiarity with Life Science regulatory statutes, GxP processes, or compliance programs; experience in risk management functions.3-5 years of relevant experience with LIMS, ELN, and/or Lab Automation Systems.Programming ability (Python, LabWare LIMS Basic, SQL).Instrument integration (file/API connections); enterprise systems integration (ERP, ELN, middleware, cloud apps).Experience implementing LabWare or LabVantage LIMS systems; strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.Preferred/IdealExperience managing change and driving outcomes; strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Excellent communication with a global mindset; client and sector understanding; deep sector expertise.Financial systems understanding; impact measurement.What We OfferBase salary range details included in posted information; Total Rewards include medical/dental, pension/401(k), and PTO options.Hybrid work model with client-serving roles typically in-person 40-60% of the time.Flexible vacation policy with various paid time off options; accommodations for well-being.Are you ready to shape your future with confidence?
