We are looking for a creative and pragmatic problem solver to serve as Corporate Counsel 2 - Commercial in a growing, world-class legal team. This Corporate Counsel 2 - Commercial role will focus on supporting the Professional Services and Training Team (PS&T) and the Solution Innovation Team (SI Team) that provide specialized services and training around Snowflake to our customer base. This is an in-person role based in Menlo Park, California or Atlanta, Georgia and will report to a Director, Assistant General Counsel. This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesWork closely and partner with the Sales teams on transactions that drive the company’s revenue.Structure, negotiate, and close transactional agreements.Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts on topics affecting your area of business.Provide sound legal and business guidance to senior leaders.Manage risk and ensure business and compliance needs are reflected in agreements.Operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and respond to the demands of an active technology sales team.Develop and deliver training on legal issues and contract processes.Support continuous improvements of forms, policies and processes to streamline contracting processes.QualificationsBe able to forge strong relationships with Snowflake’s customers and cross-functional groups within Snowflake, including Sales, PS&T, SI Team and Alliances.Flexible, hard-working, and eager to make an impact as a driver of Snowflake’s growth and success.A minimum of 5 years of legal experience including in-house experience, preferably with a successful, high-growth enterprise SaaS company.Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and licensed to practice law in the U.S for a minimum of 5 years.Outstanding analytical, drafting, negotiation, collaboration, written and communication skills.Strong background with SaaS-centric issues (revenue recognition, tax, privacy, security, data privacy, intellectual property), professional services, and go-to-market programs.Experience with supporting Statements of Work for professional services, including drafting and negotiating terms and supporting a professional services sales team.Excellent organizational, project management, problem-solving and prioritization skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines (especially at quarter end).Strategic and tactical thinking with strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.Service-oriented, responsive, professional, and high integrity.Note: Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data.
