This role will provide strategic legal counsel on corporate tax matters, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term business planning. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax law, coupled with the ability to provide business-oriented solutions in a complex, regulated industry.Key ***** Advise the company on federal, state, local, and property tax matters, including tax planning, compliance, and controversy. Provide legal support to the Tax organization on corporate transactions, financing, and business initiatives. Partner with business units to assess tax implications and structure strategies that support operational and financial goals. Lead or coordinate cross-functional teams on tax-related projects. Draft and review legal documents, memoranda, and tax-related agreements. Monitor changes in tax law and regulations, advising the company on compliance and strategic impact. Manage outside counsel relationships and represent the company in interactions with tax authorities, as needed.***** Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Michigan Minimum of7–10 years of experiencein corporate tax law, ideally with both planning and controversy work. LL.M. in Taxation or CPA credential preferred but not required. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and lead cross-functional projects.
