Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist – Food Manufacturing***** Baldwin Park CA ***** $70-85KPosition ***** A leading North American food manufacturer is seeking an experiencedEHS Specialistto join its team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in fostering a culture focused on safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility. This role supports site operations through the implementation of regulatory programs, hazard assessments, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO and OSHA standards.Key *****Health & ***** Promote and maintain a proactive safety culture aligned with ISO 45001 standards. Conduct and manage risk assessments, including LO/TO, NFPA 70E, JHA, and PPE evaluations. Develop and review procedures to ensure OSHA compliance. Lead safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations. Support emergency response plans, fire safety protocols, and hazard communication. Serve as a technical resource and active member of the site Safety Committee. Track and close incident, near-miss, and injury reports in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Maintain all required EHS documentation, files, and training records.Environmental ***** Support and manage site environmental programs (hazardous waste, storm water, air, wastewater) and sustainability efforts. Promote environmental stewardship and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 standards. Oversee hazardous waste storage, labeling, and shipping in accordance with regulatory requirements. *****Minimum ***** 3–5 years of experience managing EHS in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Working knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 (PSM) and EPA regulations. Proven ability to lead investigations and root cause analysis. Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Ammonium Hydroxide systems is a plus.Preferred ***** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of EHS experience in food manufacturing or packaging environments. OSHA 501 certification preferred.Additional ***** Ability to influence others and drive accountability across teams. Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, documentation, and regulatory tracking.
