Job ***** Paralegal – Regulatory & Compliance Focus***** North Bergen, NJ (in-office) ***** $90,000–$110,000, commensurate with experienceAn established private company specializing in regulated industrial services is seeking a highly organizedParalegalto manage complex compliance and documentation processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role ensuring paperwork for specialized and highly regulated operations is meticulously handled, complete, and compliant with all industry standards.Key ***** Manage and process all regulatory paperwork related to highly specialized and regulated waste operations (asbestos, hazardous soil, liquid waste etc.), including the creation and tracking of manifests, permits, and compliance documentation Ensure all necessary paperwork is executed accurately, submitted on time, properly filed, and returned by appropriate authorities Liaise directly with facilities, regulatory bodies, and internal staff to ensure full compliance throughout the process chain Organize, track, and archive all compliance-related documentation to facilitate audits and inspections Work closely with existing staff to understand legacy documentation processes and implement improvements as appropriate Train and support colleagues transitioning from customer service roles to compliance supportEssential Skills & ***** Minimum 3-5+ years of paralegal experience (experience in environmental law and/or industrial regulatory compliance strongly preferred but not required) Extremely detail-oriented, with proven ability to manage high volumes of complex documentation Strong organizational and time management skills - must be able to prioritize and multitask under deadlines Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to transportation, disposal, or handling of regulated materials is a plus Comfortable working independently in a small office environment Solid communication and interpersonal skillsWhy Apply?
