Smith Protective Services is seeking a strong leader for ourOperations Managerposition to support the Security operations of our Dallas region.This is a salaried, full-time position.The ideal candidate will be a service-driven, multi-tasker with strong prioritization skills who can juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment and takes the initiative to get things done. Smith Protective Services, an industry leader known for quality service, has been providing private security services to our commercial clients since 1903. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll have the responsibility of maintaining service excellence and being a good role model for our security staff. The Operations Manager will support the operations of the region byproviding training and leadership to security officers and field supervisors and delivering superior service to our customers. This position is eligible for a competitive base salary plus bonus plan.Primary Responsibilities Include: Training, developing, and motivating supervisory staff to effectively ensure the site security personnel are following post orders, policies and procedures. Training supervisors on software systems, procedural guidelines, and company policies and enforcing consistency in policy practice. Recruiting, interviewing and recommending candidates for hire to the Regional Manager. Complete the new hire onboarding process, training and licensure. Maintaining the scheduling, billing, and payroll process, ensuring the proper amount of staffing to reduce non-billable OT. Securing replacement officers for shift call-offs; which may include standing the post as needed during any shift. Developing and updating post orders in accordance with contract terms. Conducting site visits and account/equipment audits. Assisting with training new officers on post as needed during any shift. Supporting the Regional Manager in achieving regional goals and objectives.The requirements for the Operations Manager ***** Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience in the Security industry Current Level 3 Commissioned License is preferred; must be willing to obtain Level 3 Commissioned License within 90 days of hire. Excellent Organizational, Communication, and time management skills. Computer proficiency with experience in guard payroll/scheduling. TrackTik and SilverTrac or other guard scheduling system knowledge is a plus. Attention to Detail Reliable transportation and clear Motor Vehicle Record (Valid Texas Driver License). Ability to travel and regularly visit all site locations for the region. Must be available for service emergencies and last-minute scheduling changes 24/7.
