I am looking for a strong Director of Training over the Electrical/HVAC program at an outstanding college in Dallas, TX Position ***** Responsible for ensuring high levels of student and faculty satisfaction, ensuring compliance with academic policies and procedures, training, retaining, and developing outstanding instructors, and focusing on student retention. You must have at least 5-7 years in the field as an Electrician as well. Master Electrician preferred. Teaching experience strongly preferred. Leadership and experience overseeing Electrical programs necessary. HVAC experience would be preferred as well***** Responsible for correspondence to ensure syllabi goals and phase objectives are reached and to ensure the syllabi, lesson plans, and curriculum are followed Evaluate the prospective instructor’s program tests and in coordination with Lead Instructors (if applicable), evaluate their interactions in the lab Attend industry related association meetings and serve as a board member or volunteer in the local chapter, if applicable. Assure instructors receive any related periodicals as well as information for meeting times Train and oversee instructors Assist instructor or students with their capabilities in assigned subject matter On-going evaluation of the performance of employees Complete weekly and/or monthly reports as directed Identify potential problems and solutions through effective analysis of reports Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Required Knowledge, Education and ***** Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and minimum five years’ experience in related field. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years related experience is strongly preferred. At least 5-7 years in the field as an Electrician with teaching experience preferred. Leadership skills a must and overseeing Electrical programs preferred.People ***** Directly supervises employees in the assigned program Education Department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
