Protect America's Borders as a CBP Officer Serving as a Customs and Border Protection Officer is a unique opportunity to safeguard the nation's economic prosperity while ensuring the security of its borders. With comprehensive training provided by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, officers will develop expertise in law enforcement procedures, immigration law, and Spanish language proficiency. Regular updates on policies and procedures ensure that officers remain vigilant and prepared to address emerging challenges. Key Responsibilities: Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations at ports of entry and other designated areas. Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances to detect potential security threats. Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States based on established criteria. Preventing the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods through proactive measures and intelligence gathering. Requirements: Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen. Residency: Must have lived in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years. Age Limit: Must be referred before turning 40 (some exceptions apply for federal or veteran candidates).
