Overtime Status: Exempt Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, following established goals and treatment strategies. Monitor and document patient progress, noting changes in performance and communicating observations to the supervising OT. Prepare and maintain therapy equipment, materials, and treatment areas to ensure a safe and organized environment. Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and adaptive techniques for continued progress outside of therapy sessions. Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program Knowledgeable in occupational therapy, multi-disciplinary childhood-intervention theories, and rehabilitation principles and practices. Utilizes Sensory Integration and occupational therapy techniques used in the assessment and treatment of children with disabilities. Must relate well to children and their families.
