Regional Business Director Oncology (Northeast)OverviewThe Regional Business Director plays a critical role in leading oncology commercial operations across the Northeast region, covering MA, RI, CT, NH, ME, VT, NY (excluding NYC), Western PA, WV, and Northern OH. This position is responsible for guiding a regional sales team, shaping business strategy, and ensuring alignment with national initiatives while tailoring execution to the needs of local markets.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a regional team of oncology sales professionals, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.Design and implement regional business plans that address unique market dynamics while meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals.Partner closely with cross-functional colleagues in access, reimbursement, medical affairs, and operations to support product uptake and remove barriers to patient access.Strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, health systems, and other strategic partners to expand reach and impact.Monitor competitive activity, analyze performance trends, and deliver actionable market intelligence to senior leadership.Ensure consistent execution of promotional programs and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.Manage regional budgets effectively, allocating resources to maximize business impact.Utilize clinical knowledge and market expertise to support the sales force in addressing customer needs and navigating complex treatment pathways.QualificationsBachelors degree required; advanced degree is a plus.8+ years of biopharma sales experience with a minimum of 5 years in oncology leadership.Strong understanding of payer systems and the reimbursement environment in the Northeast region.Experience with injectable therapies and distribution models such as buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy would be preferred.Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, launching new products, and delivering against business objectives.Skilled in account management, contracting, and navigating integrated health systems.Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication abilities, both in-person and through virtual platforms.Ability to perform under pressure, adapt to shifting priorities, and make sound decisions in complex environments.
