Trinity Rail Maintenance Services is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator in our Fort Worth, TX manufacturing facility!Join our team today and be a part of Delivering Goods for the Good of All!What You'll Do:Implement established safety/environmental programs for compliance to company and government regulationsAdminister and monitor Corporate and BU safety/environmental programsMaintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety programProvide training to enable effective operation of the established safety systemsInitiate, document and monitor corrective actions to adherence to safety programsGather information and generates required and/or requested reportsWorks with employees to resolve safety issues and techniquesBuild knowledge of the organization, processes and customersSolve a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard proceduresReceive a moderate level of guidance and directionRequires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skillsUse judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionWork on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factorsMay lead small projects and/or projects with minimal complexityWill serve as resource for other departments as neededAbility to maintain accurate, current records and generate complete and timely reportsAbility to maintain effective working relationships with all employees throughout the plantAbility to train others effectively on various safety topicsWhat You'll Need:Bachelors degree in safety or similar field preferred, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesComputer literacy with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint requiredBilingual (Written/Verbal Spanish) preferredCertified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) preferredFirst Aid/Responder or EMT certification preferredConsiderable knowledge of all state and Federal regulations relative to safety, health, environment, and workers compensation or ability to acquire quicklyAbility and willingness to work rotating shifts
