Advanced Field Service Engr

Advanced Field Service Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. in Wilmington, CA Responsibilities: * Lead successful on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. * Follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions. * Make improvements to training guides and documentation. * Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. * Train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. * Support the development of on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems. * Support revision and correction of work instructions and customer-facing training guides used by field installation specialists. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development. * Support cross-functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. * Act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders. * Assist in the audit, design, and solution of control sequences and solutions with customers. * Validate customer requests. Educate customer and field technicians. * Write documentation used by field technicians. * Ensure Right and Fast Delivery. Inspect for Quality. * Install or Repair Work Orders. Provide Customer Support. * Mentor and Train Jr. Field Technicians and Service Representatives. YOU MUST HAVE: * Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, or a related field, and 7 years of industry experience maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and installing Honeywell Distributed Control Systems. * Full term of experience must include: maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, installing virtual systems with a high degree of precision in coordination of specialty Honeywell proprietary networks. * Approximately 75% domestic travel required across 17 U.S. States. * Telecommuting permitted when not at customer site.
