Distribution Field Technician

Job Title: Distribution Field Technician Location: Arlington, TX *Must be willing to travel* Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00/hr About the Role As a Distribution Field Technician, you'll be at the forefront of field operations, supporting joint use projects and electrical distribution systems across multiple regions. This role offers hands-on experience with utility inspections, data collection, and technical assessments-all while traveling to diverse project sites and contributing to critical infrastructure improvements. What You'll Do * Conduct field inspections and data collection using tablets, GPS, and specialized equipment. * Support joint use audits, permitting, and utility pole inspections. * Perform pad-mount and sub-surface equipment assessments. * Assist with storm damage evaluations and emergency response efforts. * Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure compliance with NESC and utility standards. * Travel regionally to client sites, with per diem and take-home vehicles provided. What You Bring * 0-3 years of field technician experience (utility or aerial construction preferred). * Familiarity with NESC standards and distribution engineering. * Proficiency with GPS units, range finders, hasting sticks, and tablets. * Strong computer skills and comfort navigating MS Office tools. * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight. * Ability to work independently or in pairs depending on project location. Work Environment * Travel to client sites in TX, OK, KS, GA, LA, and AR. * Typical schedule: Travel Sunday/Friday, work Monday-Thursday. Ready to Apply?
