Job Title: Field Technician Job Description Join our team as a Field Technician, where you will be part of a remote sensing project focused on verifying lidar scans of utility poles. This project involves inspecting approximately 3,000 poles, predominantly in the Richmond area, with occasional travel to Williamsburg and Blue Ridge. The role is expected to continue through March, with potential for involvement in additional projects thereafter. Responsibilities * Verify lidar scans of utility poles in the field. * Conduct inspections of approximately 3,000 poles. * Travel to various locations, including Richmond, Williamsburg, and Blue Ridge, as required. * Perform data entry related to the inspections. * Engage in construction and general labor tasks as part of the inspections. * Conduct land surveying and utility locating as part of the project. Essential Skills * Experience with construction general labor or similar roles. * Ability to work outdoors and in diverse weather conditions. * Data entry proficiency. * Survey and land surveying skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in utility locating is a plus. Work Environment The role requires working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. You can expect to work Monday through Friday, with potential overtime, ensuring at least 40 hours per week. This position offers opportunities for career advancement and skill development. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
