In this role, you'll perform specimen collections in a variety of settings including physician offices, draw sites, and community health events. You'll ensure accurate patient identification, proper specimen handling, and effective communication with patients and healthcare teams-all while supporting regulatory compliance and independent processing.Location: TriHealth Laboratory Services -Kenwood at 8240 Northcreek Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45236Full-Time, 80 hours bi-weeklyDay Shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday -Friday)Rotating every 3rd Saturday. No holidays.Job Requirements:High School Degree or GED Formal Phlebotomy training 1-2 years' experience in PhlebotomyPhlebotomy and other specimen collection techniques, including difficult venipunctures and pediatric draws Lab terminology, Proper specimen handling procedures, Communication, Customer service, and Data entry skillsPhlebotomy Certification preferredJob Overview:This position performs phlebotomies and other specimen collections in physicians' offices, at draw sites, and at health fairs. This position accurately identifies patient, selects correct patient in HIS and other systems, retrieves correct lab orders, and completes collection task. This position properly collects specimens, accurately labels samples, and correctly prepares them for transport to lab. This position communicates with patients, nurses, physicians' offices, family members, and other caregivers. This position maintains standing orders and required documentation for waste removal, fire drills, and other regulatory requirements.
