Description Contract Billing Clerk - Transportation Industry We are seeking a focused and highly organized Contract Billing Clerk to join our team in the transportation industry in Tallmadge, Ohio. This contract position, with an anticipated duration of 6-8 weeks, offers an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in supporting our operations through accurate billing and efficient financial documentation. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare, review, and process detailed and accurate invoices promptly to support cash flow and ensure financial accuracy. + Generate and manage billing statements while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies. + Utilize QuickBooks to update and maintain billing and invoicing systems systematically. + Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with attention to detail and professionalism. + Create and analyze financial reports in Microsoft Excel to fulfill internal reporting requirements. + Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to meet billing deadlines effectively. + Maintain consistency, accuracy, and security in computerized billing systems. + Support audits and financial reviews by providing accurate and organized billing information. + Address customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account details in a prompt and professional manner. + Ensure billing activities comply with company policies and meet industry regulations. Key Qualifications: + Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required. + Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to problem-solve effectively. + Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines. + Prior experience in billing or invoicing roles, particularly in the transportation or logistics industry, is preferred. + Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with customers and team members. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or related roles. - Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers. - Familiarity with computerized billing systems. - Problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
