Dental Assistant Alexandria, VirginiaPay From: $19 per hourMUST:Experienced Dental AssistantMust have 2 plus years of experience as a Dental AssistantMust be x-ray certified in VirginiaMust have experience with extractionsMust have experience assisting with fillingsMust have experience assisting with cleaningsDUTIES:Dental Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:Collect and record patients' medical and dental histories, including vital signsTake and process dental diagnostic X-raysMake preliminary impressions for study casts and take occlusal registrations for cast mountingPour, trim, and polish study casts; fabricate custom impression trays from preliminary impressionsClean and polish removable dental appliances and fabricate temporary restorationsAssist the dentist in managing medical and dental emergenciesEducate patients on oral hygiene practices and plaque control programsProvide patients with postoperative instructions as prescribed by the dentistAccurately document treatment information in patient recordsMaintain and manage all patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and related regulationsEnsure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, policies, and proceduresProtect patients, staff, and self by following CDC and organizational infection control protocolsEnsure proper operation of dental equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, and reporting malfunctions promptlyStay current in the field through continuing education, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
