Job Overview We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated professionals to join our elite team as Customs and Border Protection Officers. As a CBPO, you will play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders and ensuring the safety of its citizens. Key Responsibilities Your duties will include: Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. Facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel. Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances. Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States. Preventing the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and the smuggling of illegal drugs and other contraband. Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods. Enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping. Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats. Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity. Benefits As a CBPO, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including: An annual base salary ranging from $61,111 to $124,443 per year. Have primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years. Not be over the age of 40 (some exceptions apply). Be eligible for veterans' preference (if applicable). Formal Training You will receive comprehensive training, including a two-week orientation and 101-day academy at FLETC in Glynco, GA. Spanish training may be required for certain locations.
