Job DescriptionDirector, Client AcquisitionPosting Start Date: 8/15/25Requisition ID: 28223Apply nowOverviewENGIE INSIGHT SERVICES INC. seeks a Senior Director-level sales leader with extensive experience in business development, sales, and marketing to drive revenue growth for new target accounts. This role leads a team responsible for revenue generation and growth of new target accounts, developing trusted relationships, contributing to the P&L, and promoting ENGIE Group solutions aligned to client needs and values.The role will lead a team of ENGIE Impact sales professionals who are responsible for revenue growth of new target accounts through promotion and implementation of ENGIE Group sustainability and resource solutions.Role SummaryThe Director, Client Acquisition is accountable for revenue generation and growth for new target accounts. This role is focused on building long-term client value through developing trusted relationships, contributing to the P&L, and the development and closing on new business within target regions, and promoting new strategic initiatives that align ENGIE Impact and other ENGIE Business Unit solutions to the client's needs and values.This role will lead a team of ENGIE Impact sales professionals who are directly responsible for revenue generation and growth of new target accounts through the promotion and implementation of ENGIE Group's various sustainability and resource solutions.Primary functions and essential responsibilitiesResponsible for building, coaching, mentoring and driving a high-performing Sales team that is accountable for attaining individual sales quotas, creating a culture focused on sales execution and -depth understanding of ENGIE Impact and ENGIE Group capabilities and portfolio of offerings, with the ability to effectively convey the value of ENGIE Impact's products and services, explaining their purpose and performance and how they interconnect for maximum value.Understand and embody the key functions of Sales leader execution - including attracting/hiring/retaining top talent, coaching, leveraging appropriate tools and technology, and performance management.Own the strategic development for revenue growth by leveraging sales leader territory plans, executive engagement, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Legal, Marketing, and other teams.Develop comprehensive 12-month sales plans with detailed 30, 60, and 90-day activities and objectives; ensure each team member creates their own plan to reach annual sales goals.Report Monthly sales pipeline activities and forecasts; develop mitigation plans when goals are not attained; implement performance management plans as necessary.Forecast and track key metrics (quarterly sales results, annual forecasts, weekly KPIs, proposals, pipeline additions) and manage underperforming team members.Participate in annual reviews and coordinate with Head of Commercial Growth, Compensation and HR on commission/variable pay plans to drive desired behaviors and outcomes.Adopt and develop best practices for account penetration and development as a trusted advisor for client stakeholders, focusing on C-Suite relationships and other influencers.Play a pivotal role in contract negotiation and pricing strategy to align ENGIE Impact revenue goals with service levels.Develop cross-functional strategies for account growth/retention across a broad solution set and identify areas to improve sales performance.Lead development and execution of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for assigned sectors; coordinate with leadership to review territory plans and targets for the following two quarters.Collaborate with ENGIE Impact colleagues and Centers of Excellence to deliver quality services with competitive advantage.Establish new business opportunities with targeted accounts through networking, qualifying and closing techniques; determine buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria.Understand customer long-term business needs to enable cross-selling and higher-level account support.Provide reliable forecasting and deal transparency; contribute to reference case development and product roadmap input.First Six Months: Learn the business and solidify strategy, develop an intimate understanding of client experience, service delivery, and industry role; gain command of the energy and sustainability environment; implement foundational operating rhythm; establish metrics to monitor performance; develop relationships with executive leadership; identify quick wins for day-to-day improvements.Longer term: Build repeatable processes and create long-term value; develop value creation strategies in collaboration with company leadership; lead execution of territory plans and reselling strategies; re-evaluate strategic selling plans to adopt new innovations.Lead execution of territory plan and reselling strategy in coordination with executive leadership; drive continual improvement in revenue growth and customer value.Partner with Client Acquisition Directors, Sales Engineers, and department leaders to translate client and business needs into solutions that create value.Provide strategic direction on functional requirements technology must meet to deliver growth objectives; gain buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders.Use data to drive analysis, re-engineer processes, implement new tools, and reshape the sales ecosystem.Execute sales initiatives in partnership with leadership to deliver best-in-class value.Education / Experience / CertificationsMaster's Degree required in Engineering, Sustainability, or Business Management with a focus on marketing/sales/business administration.Fifteen+ years of sales experience with multimillion-dollar portfolios.Seven+ years of experience in energy or sustainability services, high technology, or BPO for multi-site customers.Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and objectives, solution selling, and C-level selling.Domain expertise in Customer Segments such as Retail, Industrial, Hospitality, Restaurant, Waste, Telecom or Healthcare.Knowledge of resource services (energy, waste, water) and renewable energy solutions.May consider a combination of relevant experience with educational qualifications in lieu of a petencies / Skills / AbilitiesA seasoned Business Strategist: drive goal-oriented development and execution across the ENGIE Impact sales ecosystem.An Operational Leader: lead execution of strategic initiatives with a design-thinking mindset.Results Driven: establish KPIs and use data to refine approach and improve results.Attention to detail: able to gather and translate detailed requirements into solutions.Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Experience with Microsoft Office suite.OtherPassion to drive ENGIE Impact's mission and valuesWork schedules are determined by business need; Final salary and offer will depend on background, experience, skills, and location.
