You will spend a significant portion of your time meeting clients and prospects in the field. While your administrative and team collaboration tasks will take place at our office, your primary focus will be building relationships and driving revenue through in-person interactions.Our Strategic Growth team is the face of the company and the engine of our market expansion. As a Strategic Growth Manager, you are directly responsible for driving net-new revenue.The role involves bringing top producing agents to Compass by effectively selling the Compass value proposition (technology, marketing, culture, and growth). Successful SGMs influence top agents to leave their current brokerage and join Compass, working directly with decision-makers to facilitate this transition.METRICSThis is a quota-carrying role. Your quota per quarter is based on the Gross Commission Income (GCI) you successfully bring to Compass, which quantifies an agent’s production over the prior 12 months. Deal sizes range from $200k to over $3M, with an average closing time of about 30 days.You can meet your quota by onboarding individual agents or large agent teams, with quotas based on their past performance. Quotas are not contingent on future production.Your goal is to help agents understand how moving to Compass benefits their business and clients.NUANCESThis sales process is more humanized, as you deal directly with decision-makers. Every agent is like a CEO of their own business, requiring empathy, patience, listening skills, agility, and decisiveness.Decoupling an agent from a long-standing brokerage involves understanding their identity and needs, demanding high IQ and EQ. Our team’s diverse backgrounds contribute to high performance and drive.Our SGMs generate approximately 15x more revenue per head than top tech firms, thanks to our space, team talent, and momentum.QUALIFICATIONSB.A. or B.S. with 5+ years of relevant experienceStrong interpersonal skills and a positive mindsetSelf-starter with sound judgment and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills for client meetings and presentationsHighly organized, capable of multitasking and meeting deadlinesProven track record across strategic, operational, and detailed responsibilitiesThe base pay range for this position is $100,000-$110,000 annually, with a potential bonus of $30,000-$60,000, and upside based on performance. Compensation may vary depending on experience and skills. Restricted stock units and benefits are included.
