Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Head of Finance, Americas Reports to: Senior Vice President Corporate Finance & Chief Purpose Officer Direct reports: 1 Hours of Work: M-F 9am-5pm EST - Schedule may vary depending on need - flexible but must work up to 120 hours per month. Its main activities are the sales, marketing and oversight of client services delivery that is undertaken by other The DDC Group Companies across the World. Role Overview As the Head of Finance, Americas, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the corporate governance and overall financial activities in the US. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the governance, financial health and stability of the organization by developing and implementing governance and financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s goals and objectives. This role fosters a positive and inclusive work culture, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving financial performance and development along with good corporate responsibility. Certain elements of this role are fixed in timing (ex: monthly management accounts) others offer more flexibility on timing and delivery and therefore this role could be adapted to suit a part time/flexible working arrangement to the relevant candidate. The Financial oversight governs the key aspects of the operation of the US sales marketing and strategy teams along with associated US support teams. The core responsibility of the role is focused on US activities. From time to time the role may also require involvement in wider Group Projects as determined by the Group Finance department. Key Responsibilities Preparation of accounts Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management into the Group Finance Function Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial systems Production of statutory accounts for the US company Provide relevant & timely financial information to the Group Finance team to enable a balanced assessment of the Group’s strategy and objectives Budgets and forecasts For the US division: Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and monitoring performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances to Senior Management Effectively manage working capital and overhead components of US operations with attention to creditor, debtor and cash balances Overseeing monthly processing of payroll and payments to employees Review and manage internal financial control environment for US operations, including risk assessment and embedding a risk management culture Taxation Support the Group CFO in the development and execution of the Group’s taxation strategy Ensure returns for local and federal taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied with Regulatory Reporting Coordinate production of any US regulatory and statutory reporting related to financial and corporate information of the Company General Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, and other parties as directed by the Group CFO or the SVP Group Finance. Keep key stakeholders up to date on progress against key milestones. Professional Development & Other Duties Regularly meet and discuss with your line manager to continuously improve your own performance and support your personal development. You may be required to carry out additional duties within your capability to meet the needs of the business. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of DDC’s Values & Culture and collaborate with the team to ensure that everyone embodies these. Governance, Compliance and Risk Management Responsible for working with the Corporate Office to identify, create and maintain processes and policies associated with the role and area of business. Be the nominated company representative on behalf of the US company with relevant local, state and federal bodies (including taxation) and other company requirements including 401k activities. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies; identify industry standards and regulatory requirements pertinent to the area. Ensure risk control mechanisms are adhered to and that risk is identified, assessed and reported to management as appropriate. Performance and Reporting Responsible for accurate and timely preparation, analysis, and distribution of various reports to support business operations and decision-making processes. Mandatory Skills Strong skills in specific financial-related areas Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Key Behaviors Willingness and ability to travel nationally and overseas as required Proven track record of successfully working in a remote role Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's or master's Degree or similar work experience within a working role.
