This unique, client-facing position combines traditional security responsibilities with high-level concierge and hospitality service. As a Site Security Officer & Concierge, you will be a vital part of a high-performing team, responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff at a luxury residential property. Position DetailsPosition: Security Officer & Concierge (Full-Time or Part-Time – Dedicated Day/Swing Shifts)Location: Onsite – San Francisco, CA Responsibilities Protect People & Property: Provide a visible and reliable security presence to ensure the safety of residents, guests, and the physical premises. Deliver Exceptional Concierge Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for all building residents and visitors. This includes greeting people, assisting with inquiries, managing package and delivery services, and facilitating a smooth and professional experience for everyone entering the building. Conduct Routine Patrols: Conduct regular security patrols of the property, including common areas, parking structures, and amenity spaces, to deter and detect potential security risks. Document and Report: Accurately record and report all activities, incidents, and observations to maintain thorough and up-to-date logs. Create a Secure & Welcoming Environment: Contribute to a secure, supportive, and comfortable living environment for all residents, helping to foster a positive community atmosphere. As a part of CSS, you’ll work with a team of experienced security professionals and have the opportunity to significantly impact the safety and well-being of the sites you protect. Schedule & AvailabilityFull-Time or Part-Time: Dedicated Day/Swing ShiftsSchedule: Minimum of 16 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours based on your availability. Each shift is a minimum of 8 hours. You must be available to work Day or Swing shifts, Monday through Friday, and Day shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Shift Hours: Day Shift: TBD Swing Shift: TBD Additional Notes: Shift hours may vary slightly based on operational needs. Flexibility is required for occasional shift changes and overtime depending on business demands. Weekly hours can range from 16 to 40+, depending on your availability and operational needs. Compensation & BenefitsThe starting hourly rate for this position is $24.00+ per hour, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week.Additional compensation includes: Up to $1,000 hiring bonus Referral bonuses Performance-based raises Benefits (available for Full-Time Employees): Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Paid holidays and paid time off Paid sick leave 401(k) retirement plan Uniforms and equipment provided Recognition and reward programs Professional development and tuition reimbursement up to $3,000/year Essential Position Responsibilities Concierge Services: Manage visitor, guest, and vendor access; receive and manage mail and packages; provide exceptional customer service and assistance to residents and visitors. Report Writing: Accurately document observations, incidents, and activities, delivering timely and detailed reports. Security Patrols: Conduct effective and thorough security patrols to ensure the safety of the premises. Regulation Enforcement: Enforce client procedures, regulations, and industry standards, including building-specific policies. Incident Prevention: Observe, report, and deter incidents by maintaining a visible security and concierge presence. Emergency Response: Provide immediate support in emergencies or alarms, coordinating with building management and emergency services as needed. Surveillance: Monitor and report activities on the assigned site, including CCTV and access control systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and activities. Loss Prevention: Prevent property damage or loss by reporting suspicious activities. Equipment Care: Properly maintain company and client-issued equipment, including Cyber Keys, Radios, ID Badges, and other security/concierge technology. Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management to support building security and operations. Education, Certifications, and License Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid CA BSIS Guard Card Certification. Valid U.S. Identification Completion of CSS-led driver training and other relevant courses (post-hire), if applicable. First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain post-hire). A federal background check may be required, depending on the assigned role. Minimum age of 18, as required by law or contractual obligations. Qualifications Prior experience in security, hospitality, or a customer service-focused role, preferably in a residential or high-rise environment. Strong situational awareness and the ability to de-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally. Excellent report-writing skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with patrolling techniques, access control, and surveillance practices. Comfortable using technology, including smartphones and radio communication systems. Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents and guests. Ability to stand, walk, sit, and drive for extended periods in various environmental conditions. Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) with clear communication skills. Radio communication knowledge is a plus. Ability to evaluate and de-escalate conflicts calmly. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Site-specific requirements may include COVID-19 vaccination or a valid exemption/accommodation (based on client requirements). Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (indoor and outdoor). Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the success of security operations. Labor Considerations for Non-Exempt, Hourly EmployeesThis position is Non-Exempt and governed by California labor laws, including but not limited to: Overtime pay: Eligible for overtime at 1.5x the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 in a day or 40 in a week. Meal and rest breaks: According to California law, employees are entitled to meal and rest breaks. Wages and hours: All hours worked, including training and on-duty time, will be compensated at the designated hourly rate.
