IT Project Manager - Hybrid

Volitiion IIT Inc is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team in Leesburg, VA. This is a hybrid position and requires experience leading complex technology projects and business process reengineering (BPR) of enterprise systems. Job Overview Senior Project Manager (777566) – Hybrid. Position requires experience managing various complex technology projects, BPR of complex enterprise systems, and technology product evaluations. Duties Oversees day-to-day responsibilities of managing BPR and Information Technology projects. Communicate with sponsoring organizations to assist in needs assessment, scope definition, risk, and process improvement analyses. Draft specifications, review proposals, define work plans, manage tasks, deliverables, and status tracking for systems integration and/or development. Review project proposals and plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation for project phases. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams through project launch, system selection and integration, data conversion/migration, QA/QC testing, training, and system implementation to ensure on-schedule delivery within budget. Implement best practices and project management methodologies appropriate to the project scope. Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera, MS Project, or similar tools. Prepare project reports for management, clients, or other stakeholders. Provide technical guidance and resolve problems with project team members. Manage software quality assurance testing, error reporting, correction, and verification; maintain a defect database for each project. Confer with project members to outline work plans and assign duties and responsibilities. Use Internet tools to communicate with project parties; conduct regular project meetings with contractors and stakeholders to monitor progress. Proactively solve problems to ensure milestones are met and projects are completed on time and within budget. Conduct post-mortems to improve future projects and maintain a long-term outlook for the systems managed. Maintain close contact with project sponsors to ensure shared vision and stakeholder buy-in. Prepare and evaluate proposals/solicitations and pursue continuous self-improvement in management, technical, analytical, and business skills. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Extensive knowledge of system integration, testing, and change management. Ability to quickly gain knowledge of business process analysis and benchmarking techniques. Ability to apply technology to solve business problems and understand software at a power-user level. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, databases, and quick mastery of new programs. Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with non-technical individuals on technical matters. Strong leadership and influence skills; ability to gather information and make sound decisions. Ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies and products; ability to work in teams and manage multiple projects independently. Minimum Qualifications Recent verifiable experience working on transit industry projects with knowledge of voice, data, and power systems. Minimum of seven (7) years of Information Technology Project Management experience and consulting experience. Proven track record managing successful large enterprise system implementation projects involving current information technologies and/or SPA. Designing low and high-voltage AC/DC power systems. Formal training and experience in project management, estimating, cost and schedule management, variance reporting, and electronic project management tools such as Primavera and MS Project.
