Your best is waiting to be discovered.OverviewThe Business Senior Systems Analyst I supports core functions of the hospital/'s business & financial applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position will implement, administer, and support assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team. The role requires a thorough understanding of managing business and financial operations within a healthcare environment. The position independently addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization.What You Will DoProvide tier-2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk; including 24/7 on-call coverage as requiredProvide analytical assistance to junior team members to resolve application incidents, maintenance items, and enhancement requestsCoordinate application support with other information technology teams including Infrastructure, Integration, Reporting, and the help deskImplement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department policies and proceduresWork with and mentor junior staff members to document workflowsAct as a technology subject matter expert and clearly communicate technical concepts in business terms between and across groups while influencing outcomesPerform a major role in complex software upgrade initiativesLead small to medium complexity new software installations and enhancement requestsMaintain up-to-date project documents for all initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverablesContinually identify opportunities for functional and stability improvement in applicationsIdentify system optimization and enhancements and collaborate with vendors and ITS analysts to design and implement effective solutionsAnticipate and resolve system problemsResearch issues and provide solution options, including alternative solutions addressing system limitations, with pros/cons, risks, benefits, costs, and unintended consequencesParticipate in and frequently facilitate team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting recordsEducation QualificationsBachelor/'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (Required)Certification in relevant applications (Preferred)Experience Qualifications5+ years of functional experience in supporting process flow, configuration design and integration of complex Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems, e.g., Workday, LawsonExperience with Workday SCM software; Lawson experience strongly preferredRequired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesStrong technical and business operations background with credibility in healthcareKnowledge of SDLC, Agile and other software development methodologiesKnowledge of server operating systems, storage, databases, scripting languages, monitoring tools, job scheduling, high availability and disaster recovery technologiesExcellent written, oral, instructional, presentation and interpersonal skills; highly self-motivated and customer-orientedAbility to analyze complex systems and workflowsAbility to plan, organize, coordinate, and manage the work of a major program or functionAbility to engage in complex discussions and negotiate to achieve best outcomesAbility to communicate concepts clearly to management and cross-functional teamsKnowledge of current issues and trends in healthcare operationsAbility to diagnose and resolve routine technology problems and to learn advanced technologyAbility to identify risks and issues and develop solutions for new challengesAbility to develop tasks with timelines and work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to collaborate with stakeholders and adhere to operational standards and policiesLicenses and CertificationsPhysical Demands and Work ConditionsBlood Borne Pathogens: Category III tasks with no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissuesThese Principles Apply To ALL EmployeesSHC Commitment to Providing an Exceptional Patient & Family Experience: Stanford Health Care sets a high standard for delivering value and an exceptional experience for our patients and families.
