In this C-Suite role, you will have the opportunity to drive strategic decisions and provide oversight to financial functions ensuring the financial strength and operating efficiency of the organization.Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, this role will be expected to:Participate in corporate strategic, long-range planning process and ensure that the mission and core values of the organization are practicedDrive the organization to achieve strategic initiatives and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business objectives; determine appropriate profit standards in the various operating and investment areasOversee the preparation of the consolidated annual budget and proposed capital and extraordinary expenditure programs for presentation to the Board of DirectorsOversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for government regulatory agencies for the organizationOversee organization’s financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiencyInvest monies in stated instruments, amounts, and duration with approval and direction of the Board, unless the same is delegated to the Finance and Audit Committee, and then with its approval and direction; further advise the Finance and Audit Committee on a timely basis, for its consideration, of reporting or recommending to the Board, arrangements with banks or other institutions which may accrue more safety or other benefits to the organizationCollaborate with the executive team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, process, and human resources designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organizationInteract with other departments to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through analysis, reports, and recommendationsAnalyze operations to evaluate performance of the organization and their staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy changeServe on NorthWinds Technology Solutions (“NorthWinds”) Savers committee and partner with other DDWI committee members to create strategic alignment across NorthWinds clientsProvide strategic leadership and support in the evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers, diversification initiatives, investments, or other issues affecting the organizationProvide leadership to committees and participate in national initiatives for Delta Dental Plans AssociationRepresent the organization to the state Insurance Department, Delta Dental Plans Association, dental associations, specialty organizations, and other appropriate agenciesAt Delta Dental of Wisconsin, we’re committed to attracting and keeping great talent with a comprehensive benefits package for employees and their families.
