OverviewAlpine is a leading provider of industry solutions for component manufacturers helping design and manufacture the highest quality roof, floor and wall components. Our comprehensive product suite includes software, engineering services, connector plates, equipment and premier cold formed steel truss systems.PositionStrategic Marketing Director reports to the VPGM and is responsible for driving the development and execution of all product management and marketing activities for the Alpine business to meet strategic objectives and deliver financial goals. The incumbent will partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the Annual Plan/Long Range Plan based on market segmentation, trends, customer needs and competitive advantage.Customer Back Innovation (CBI) Strategy DevelopmentOwns the division CBI strategy; understands long‑term trends and technology implications for Alpine’s solutions to identify CBI yield and path to full potential.Has in‑depth market and customer understanding and can convert insights into growth opportunities.Collaborates with Commercial organization to create customer mapping – understanding decision makers and influencers at target accounts.CBI Pipeline ManagementIdentifies new opportunities; works with Sales, Engineering, Software Development and Solutions Delivery to compile and prioritize pipeline opportunities using impact vs. effort analysis to create a high‑confidence sales fluences and drives priority, quantity and quality of pipeline projects, including short and long‑term opportunities.Has courage to discontinue projects when not aligned with success indicators.Drives accountability through business case development, risk analysis and transparent project management.CBI Process ExecutionSupports CBI process execution to drive technology breakthroughs and develop new product plans using data‑driven, cross‑functional approaches to deliver outcomes.Manages Voice of Customer (VOC) and product roadmap to solve customer pain points.Ensures understanding of core product portfolio and the differentiated value proposition within commercial teams and with customers.Secures internal stakeholder buy‑in and visibility to roadmaps and lifecycle assessments.Manages IP portfolio with protection strategies and competitive landscape analyses; collaborates with Group Technology Counsel on filings and defense of IP.Talent and OrganizationPartners with HR to develop structure, competencies and skills to support growth and talent needs.Builds pipeline through external hiring and development plans; accelerates hi‑potential talent.Drives a growth mindset within teams and fosters engagement and alignment across the division.Position Skills And Experience RequirementsEducation/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Engineering; Master’s in Business or Marketing is a plus.7+ years in progressive business management, including leadership of engineering, sales and/or marketing teams.Experience leading a marketing team in a complex environment with durable goods and software or technically advanced products.Strong track record of differentiated product development and customer‑back innovation.Experience in data‑driven analysis, reporting and decision making.Ability to prioritize using 80/20 principles and a growth mindset; familiarity with ITW toolbox and principles.Proven ability to build trust and work collaboratively to deliver results.Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; experience working with remote stakeholders.Self‑driven and able to motivate others to excel.Willing to travel up to 25%; primarily pensation InformationCertain states require that pay information be included in job postings. The specific hiring rate within the posted pay range depends on qualifications and location.
