With a portfolio that includes SPOT GPS messengers, next-generation IoT products and modems, and cloud-based telematics solutions, Globalstar's cost effective satellite-powered innovations give users visibility and intelligence for improving safety and operational efficiencies.What you will be doing at GlobalstarAs a Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer (Product), you will be a hands-on engineer implementing a test framework using best industry practices for a wireless network that include satellite hardware, IP, systems, and device level IOT software.ResponsibilitiesDevelop test plans and procedures for product interfaces at any level, from hardware to IP to web/mobile applicationsDefine and identify software tools to automate testing and analysisCreate automation and logging tools to support testingParse and analyze logs to determine root cause of issuesDefine simulators to support end-to-end testingWrite detailed test reportsWork across disciplines including hardware, software, firmware engineers as well as product managersWhat you will bring to GlobalstarBachelor/'s Degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, Communications, Wireless, Systems, Test Engineering or closely related field7+ years of recent and direct hands-on experience with Systems Integration and testing for wireless networksHands-on experience and implementing and maintaining an existing test framework. This included creating test KPI/'s and writing test and data logging scripts using Python.Experience with one or more of the following wireless protocols: 5G NR, 4G LTE, Proprietary satellite communications, WiMAX, 802.11ad/ay, and/or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/802.15.4 (Zigbee/Thread)Ability to execute and debug RF tests such as noise figure, sensitivity, phase noiseExperience interacting with and verifying interfaces at various levels of the protocol stack, from physical layer up; including a majority of SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, AT commands, MQTT, web/Android/iOS apps, and relatedExperience using various protocol testers and analyzers, from logic analyzers to WiresharkSignificant experience using test equipment from one or more of Keysight, Anritsu, Rohde & Schwarz, Copper Mountain, Signalhound, or LitepointIt/'s a bonus if you haveMaster/'s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Communications, Wireless, Systems, or Test EngineeringAbility to analyze UML design documents and develop test plans to execute state machines or message sequencesExperience using software collaboration and code storage tools like Bitbucket, Github, Confluence, Jira, etc.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMarginal FunctionsA review of this job description may have omitted some of the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of the job duties and responsibilities.
