Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that’s built for you.Our facility in Sunnyvale CA seeks a Facilities Reliability Engineer to join our mission supporting the Plant Operations & Services Organization. Virtually every Space mission success starts with a strong foundation of facility infrastructure design, construction, and execution management, performed risk-free in support of business needs without interruption. On our Facilities team, you’ll have the opportunity to use your education and experience to take on interesting challenges and become an integral part of our team as we build new or redesign current, state-of-the-art engineering facilities. This position will require innovative and agile approaches to ensure the reliability of mechanical/electrical infrastructure that produces cutting-edge space systems and analyzes trends while managing operational efficiencies.ResponsibilitiesPartner with MEP team and O&M team to ensure robust, efficient, and reliable MEP services, including power systems, HVAC, BMS, lighting controls, and more.Develop and apply preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance SOPs for all equipment.Maintain the Asset Management System and lead capital planning for equipment replacement.Develop an energy management plan, recommend energy conservation changes, and analyze project results.Guide site operations managers and engineers to maintain equipment and systems at peak efficiency.Build risk mitigation strategies for critical facilities assets, including failure analysis and risk assessment.Lead facilities condition assessments to develop project plans and maintenance optimization programs.Contribute to sustainability initiatives within Workplace functions and explore Smart Workplace improvements.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering/Architecture or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of proven experience.Highly collaborative.Ability to communicate technical requirements effectively across engineering, operations, and construction teams.Experience navigating Office products. Critical for record keeping and continuity.Microsoft Office Software experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Ability to work in dynamic/collaborative environment.Read/interpret engineering drawings.Desired SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Cause and Effect Root Cause Analysis.Knowledge of relevant building and construction codes/Standards.Ability to work in a dynamic/collaborative environment.Experience performing written technical analysis and risk mitigation documentation.Experience participating in installation design planning phases and final commissioning.Technical ability to point out discrepancies and perform risk analysis.Lean/6-Sigma Training.Energy Management experience.Building Automation Controls.Clearance LevelNoneOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day week to condensed schedules with additional time off.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.Pay Rate and Benefits: The annual base salary range is provided by location and may vary.
