OverviewJoin to apply for the Sr Electrical Engineer role at Globus Medical.Our rapidly growing medical robotics division is looking for an enthusiastic electrical engineer to help design and implement electronic circuits for intra-operative neuromonitoring used within our surgical navigation and robotic products. This role is hands-on with the ability to contribute creative, novel, and systematic product development with minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesHands on development of PCBAs containing FPGAs, embedded microcontrollers and Ethernet ControllersConduct digital system technical feasibility and risk assessmentsCollaborate with vendors and procurement to specify, purchase and oversee fabrication of prototypes and pilot runs of Printed circuit assembliesImplement design changes to bring the product to the regulated medical device marketDesign, develop, document, and release protocol test processes and procedures based on test resultsProduce documentation throughout the development life cycle of electronic designsCarries out hardware integration tasksMaintain compliance with standards typical of the medical industryAdhere to the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsure compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, in the United States and internationallyRepresent the company in a professional manner and uphold high ethical and socially responsible standards in all interactionsQualificationsMust have at least a B.S. degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 3 years of direct experience designing, developing, and testing embedded systems containing FPGA applicationsDirect experience in programming using Verilog or VHDLDirect experience in schematic and PCBA layout for embedded systemsFamiliar with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR part 820 design control processesFamiliar with IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2 Electrical Safety Standards and design concepts required for product certificationExcellent communication, collaboration, and writing skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to travel up to 10% of the timePhysical DemandsRequired to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 poundsRequired to possess vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focusOur ValuesPassionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technologyCustomer Focused: Listen to customers’ needs and respond with urgencyTeamwork: Value every person, collaborate, and support each otherDriven: Nimble, results-oriented, and decisive in delivering solutionsEqual Employment OpportunityGlobus Medical is an equal opportunity employer.
