OverviewTransform at JLL with your leadership experience as an Engineering Manager on a technology client account! You will work as part of an engineering & facilities team at a multi-million sq ft regional client portfolio with critical environments managed by JLL. This is a client facing role that requires a well rounded engineering leader.Location: Redwood City, CA 94065Work Schedule: Hybrid, Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PMTravel requirements: 25% travel required to client sites in west regionAdditional Perks: 20% annual salary bonus, company provided cell phone, laptop, travel reimbursement, Flex PTOLocation: On-site – Redwood City, CAWhat this job involvesResponsible for the operational management and effective daily leadership and administration of the Technical Services team with the objectives of safely, efficiently, and effectively operating machinery and systems in a cost-effective manner. The position must ensure the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the client’s needs, and a commitment to achieving the goal of 100% uptime throughout the engineering team. Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client’s assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function. This person will oversee General Maintenance Technicians, General Maintenance Painters, General Maintenance Door Mechanics, Operating Engineers, Operating Engineering Leads, Assistant Chief Engineers and Chief Engineers.What your day-to-day will look likeOversee maintenance and operation of all building systems (fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical, digital systems, A/V) utilizing staff and external vendors as neededSupervise and manage engineering staff including hiring, training, and development while implementing safety training programs and hazard remediationDevelop and execute documented maintenance plans incorporating preventive, predictive, and reactive procedures to meet facility objectivesAssist in capital planning for infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and building modifications while ensuring proper project executionMaintain all infrastructure documentation, compliance records, building drawings, and regulatory requirements per Federal, State, and Local lawsOversee contractor activities and ensure proper training, notification, and adherence to critical facility work authorization processesMonitor vendor performance, evaluate pricing and quality, review service request summaries, and maintain accurate inventory and equipment recordsRequired Skills and QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent5+ years of experience in building repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systemsProficiency in CMMS systems and engineering management software toolsAbility to analyze system operations, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions with incident management experienceUniversal CFC certification requiredStrong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and excellent communication and customer service abilitiesPreferred Skills and Qualifications2 year college degree, Trade school education, or union training in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVACPeople management experience; especially as a Maintenance Manager or Chief Engineer or similar rolesMilitary experience (e.g., Army Prime Power, Navy ET/Nuke, Air Force HVAC/Power Pro Electrician)Proven work experience maintaining critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems (UPS, emergency generators, switchgears, & chiller plants)Experience with CorrigoPlease submit your application with an updated resume, location, and contact information.
