This leadership role is responsible for driving business development, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting a high-performance team.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipDirect the daily operations of the district office, ensuring efficiency and service excellenceSupervise office personnel and contractors; provide guidance, training, and performance feedbackMonitor and improve productivity, quality of work, and team collaborationPeople ManagementLead hiring efforts, onboarding, and professional development of team membersConduct annual performance reviews and facilitate coaching and mentorshipAddress performance issues and make staffing decisions in coordination with HR and technical leadersBusiness Performance & StrategyDevelop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure profitability and growthManage departmental budgets, financial statements, and operational KPIsAdjust staff levels and expenses as needed to optimize performanceClient & Technical ExcellenceMaintain high levels of client satisfaction; proactively resolve client concernsReview technical reports to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and compliance with licensing standardsActively contribute to client engagements within your technical area of expertiseMarketing & Business DevelopmentRepresent the firm at industry events and client meetingsSupport local marketing initiatives and cultivate new business opportunitiesQualificationsEducation & CertificationBachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) requiredArchitectural, Engineering, or Construction Management degree preferredMinimum of 15 years of professional experience in architectural, engineering, consulting, construction management or related fieldExperience & SkillsProven leadership or management experience in a technical environmentStrong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication skills—both verbal and writtenAbility to handle sensitive/confidential matters with professionalismAdditional RequirementsTravel: This is a hybrid position requiring local office leadership with occasional travel and field engagement.
