The Office of Admissions at Palo Alto University manages a comprehensive admissions program for all PAU degree programs and aims to recruit and enroll students who would thrive in our programs, regardless of background.Job SummaryThis Admissions Counselor has primary responsibility for engaging with, supporting, and encouraging prospective bachelor’s, master’s, and/or PhD students through the admissions process. You will represent the University to prospective students, provide responsive, professional, and warmly supportive guidance, and participate in student recruitment, outbound outreach, responding to inquiries, and meetings to help students navigate the enrollment process.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on PAU programs, including curriculum, admissions requirements, and career opportunities.Prospective Student Engagement: Actively engage with prospective students and provide comprehensive support throughout their admissions journey.CRM Management & Outreach: Manage inquiries via email, phone, live chat, Zoom, and in person. Use HubSpot to pull reports, manage contact lists, conduct outbound outreach, log conversations, and provide virtual counseling support.Admissions Office Staffing: Welcome and direct visiting prospects, assist in upkeep of the admissions office and student welcome areas, and answer questions.Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling to assess fit and assist with applications and troubleshooting.Multi-Program Support: Provide backup coverage for other PAU degree programs as needed and assist with overflow inquiries and applications.Recruitment Support: Participate in recruitment events and webinars.Enrollment Conversion: Encourage submission of applications and registration.Data and Reporting: Support admissions reporting and forecasting; maintain quality control and accurate notes in HubSpot.Policy Adherence: Understand and apply university admissions policies fairly and consistently.Collaboration: Work with the admissions team to ensure a warm handoff for MSW applicants after submission.Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA.Qualifications1-3 years of experience in admissions/enrollment, preferably with graduate programs or customer serviceExperience with social work, counseling, or related fields is preferredMust have reliable transportationEqual OpportunityThe University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to non-discrimination in its hiring and employment practices, in compliance with applicable laws.
