Cummings Architecture & Interiors is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will assist the design and accounting team throughout the purchasing and reconciliation process.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, can anticipate needs, and take initiative to solve problems independently. Strong financial skills and accuracy are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires someone who is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to keep projects running smoothly.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Generate and process proposals, invoices, purchase orders, and payments- Communicate with vendors and trades to obtain pricing and ensure design deliverables are achieved- Place product orders and facilitate delivery- File necessary claims with vendors- Schedule product deliveries, installations, and client meetings- Track and coordinate deliveries- Weekly correspondence with accounting team for purchase reconciliation- Conduct project administration and organization- Perform general office tasks- Assist with furniture installations and photoshoots as needed- Coordinate with in-house and third-party delivery agents to arrange all local and long distance deliveries- Schedule deliveries with receivers and clients- Keep clients updated on delivery status- Coordinate with clients to facilitate client pick ups- Develop and maintain relationships with third party delivery agents- Inspect and document the condition of all items getting picked up and delivered- Field all delivery questions / issues / damages / claims** THIS IS NOT A DESIGN POSITION **Job Requirements- Bachelors degree or higher- 2-3 years prior experience in billing, procurement, or logistics- Proficiency with Design Manager and Microsoft Suite- Articulate verbal and written communication skills- Highly proficient in time management- Extremely detail oriented and desire for accuracy- Self motivated and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.- Based in the Northshore with reliable daily transportation- Part time and full time opportunities available- Ability to move 50 poundsWe provide competitive salaries, health insurance (including dental and vision), a 401K plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
