Ensures staff and employees are equipped to meet production and delivery schedules, budgeted cost/efficiency expectations through sound resource planning and provision. Holds self and staff accountable for implementing and adherence to standards, policies & regulations for the safe, environmentally compliant production of a quality precast concrete product. Ensures staff is held accountable for the development and execution of all continuous improvement initiatives. Leads and directs local site employee/staff training and development initiatives to ensure robust succession planning.Job LocationThis role will work onsite out of our Romeoville, IL plant.Job ResponsibilitiesCreate and sustain a safe working environment for the facilityEnsure systems and processes exist in the facility to manufacture quality products efficientlySuccessfully hire, supervise, orient and train staff in disciplines that will improve performance provide employees with information, leadership and development, succession planning, and training opportunitiesDrive continuous safety, environmental and quality improvements and culture based on current Best PracticesEnsure compliance to production and delivery schedulesAssist in the development, communication and execution of strategic plans assists in developing a process to implement plansLead performance management effort that includes the identification & communication of critical successful factors with staff and subordinatesDrive performance improvements in all areas including capital deploymentEstablish and monitor performance plans for staff and subordinates track key performance metrics and hold reports accountable for resultsProvide leadership in process redesign, productivity, quality and customer serviceManage budget and cost reduction initiativesDevelop, implement and communicate strategic plans to staff and facility personnelDevelop employees for advancement and contribution to success of the businessEstablish, communicate and monitor environmental and safety achievement and compliance in plantsOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsMinimum high school diploma / equivalent with 5+ years leadership experience in an industrial environment leading multiple departments (or) Associates' Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production or related field - Bachelors Degree preferredMust have previous experience leading a steel fabrication/manufacturing operationDemonstrated ability to effectively plan and allocate resourcesWritten and oral communication skillsProven track record of developing, implementing and utilizing process and proceduresDemonstrated ability to coordinate resources to meet internal business objectives and customer expectationsThorough knowledge of effective and efficient production and manufacturing methodsInterpersonal, organizational, and project management skillsDemonstrated ability to manage and supervise direct staffDemonstrated skills or knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis skillsDemonstrated problem solving skills and dealing with ambiguityComputer skills including MS OfficeAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to effectively implement changeAbility to facilitate meetings and manage conflictDegree in a related field or equivalent experience in education/experience5 or more years in a production management capacityExperience with metal fabrication processesMetal processing tools and techniquesFitting/Welding principalsAbility to read and interpret shop drawingsCompensationThis role has a base salary range of $110,000 to 140,000/year + bonus.What CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
