Office Manager Engineering FirmContract through December 2025; $25.00-$30.00 per hourMonday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pmColumbus, Ohio (onsite)Were looking for a highly organized and proactive Office Manager to oversee our Columbus office and ensure smooth operations, a positive work environment, and a seamless experience for both team members and guests. You will play a key role in creating an efficient, welcoming, and well-supported workplace where our team can thrive. What youll be doing: Office Operations & Facilities ManagementManage day-to-day office operations to create an organized, collaborative, and efficient workplaceOversee office facilities, equipment, and vendor relationships (including scheduling maintenance and improvement projects)Track and manage office budgets, expenses, and reportingMaintain office inventory, placing orders and restocking supplies as neededAdminister building access, parking permits, and security badges for employeesCreate and supervise systems to maintain the assets in our on-site storage unitsSupport fleet management for company vehicles (usage tracking, maintenance, and licensing)Employee Experience & EngagementServe as the primary point of contact for office communications, updates, and announcementsOrganize and coordinate staff engagement activities (team lunches, happy hours, holiday events, and offsite gatherings)Greet and assist visitors, clients, and couriers, ensuring a welcoming office environmentOnboarding & IT CoordinationSet up and troubleshoot basic office technologyCollaborate with IT to ensure smooth onboarding and technology setup for new hiresEvent & Guest CoordinationCoordinate schedules for visiting business partners and leadership eventsManage catering and logistics to ensure smooth and well-organized visits and meetingsSet up and arrange meeting rooms and physical spaces to create a welcoming, professional environmentWho were looking for:Proactive problem-solver with a high level of ownership and attention to detailStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer serviceStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelySomeone who loves to host and create memorable experiences with creativity, thoughtfulness, and intentionalityProven experience in office management or administrative coordinationComfortable setting up and troubleshooting basic office technologyHigh proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)Experience in engineering, renewable energy, or a similar professional services environment is a plus
