Job Summary:The Director of Training is a visionary leader responsible for building and scaling engaging, brand-aligned training programs that strengthen operations and elevate every team member’s journey. This role designs and delivers thoughtful learning experiences that drive performance, reinforce guest service excellence, and foster a culture of growth. The Director of Training has a passion for developing others and manages a team of Field Trainers and partners cross-functionally to ensure programs support operational goals, compliance, and continuous improvement—while keeping the companys values at the core.Duties and Responsibilities: Design and lead comprehensive training programs across all operational levels, from frontline to leadership, with an emphasis on guest experience, product knowledge, and process excellence. Conduct ongoing training needs assessments using performance data, field observations, and team feedback to close skill gaps and elevate standards. Develop and maintain engaging, brand-aligned content including manuals, e-learning tools, coaching guides, and in-person workshops tailored to different learning styles. Facilitate dynamic training sessions and oversee Field Trainers to ensure consistent delivery across locations, departments, and functions. Support leadership development through mentorship, upskilling, and structured growth pathways aligned with succession planning and internal promotion strategies. Ensure training content complies with all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements, including areas like food safety, guest interaction, and workplace conduct. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, People, and Executive teams to align training initiatives with business goals, store openings, and organizational changes. Define and track performance metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, making iterative improvements based on results and learner feedback. Manage the training department’s budget, allocating resources effectively while remaining cost-conscious and impact driven.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Communicates effectively across verbal, written, and interpersonal channels to convey information clearly, collaborate with others, and support team alignment Organized and detail-focused with task and time management, and in meeting deadlines Ability to apply financial acumen in forecasting and provide actionable insight Working knowledge of industry trends, tools, and technologies to keep training programs scalable, relevant, and future-focused Ability to maintain professionalism and objectivity in high-pressure or fast-paced environments Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required Master’s degree preferred A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required in the hospitality/restaurant industry Previous experience managing a team of direct reports required Willingness to travel up to 75% for extended periods of timePhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing may be required Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures Additional Information The company offers competitive salaries, bonuses, medical/dental/vision insurance, prescription drug coverage, 401(k) plan (after 12 months of employment), sick pay, PTO and holiday pay, profit sharing plan (after 90 days of employment), annual food & beverage allowance (prorated for hire date), and company discounts of 30%.A job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
