2026 Substation - Electrical Engineer Intern

Job Description: The purpose of the renewable energy internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business or a similar field. Interns will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the energy business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace.Responsibilities:Assist with substation and high voltage improvement projectsWork with and update relay and system protection settingsOrganize fleet substation dataAdditional projects as assigned Qualifications:Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in engineering, business or related fieldPrior utility or energy industry experience helpful but not requiredSolid computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)Strong written and verbal communication skillsEffective project management skillsEffective analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detailAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects within tight deadlinesEmployment is contingent upon passing a post-offer background check and drug screen Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.
